Cuivridone® is the copper salt of L-pyrrolidone carboxylic acid (L-PCA). It is a physiological compound of the epidermis, obtained by the cyclization of L-glutamic acid. It displays astringent properties, limiting the proliferation of bacteria that can cause imbalances in oily skin. It also imparts a characteristic blue lagoon color.

Cuivridone® regulates the activity of the sebaceous glands by reducing the level of cutaneous sebum. It is the active ingredient of choice in lotions for oily skin, to which it also brings its characteristic blue-lagoon color.
