Application Details
  • WACKER® E 3196 was developed for the formulation of release agents for the thermal moulding of low-melting non-ferrous metals. The active ingredient of WACKER® E 3196 is an organo modified silicone fluid whose special chemical structure imbues it with the benefits of silicone fluids and mineral oils.
  • WACKER® E 3196 is especially recommended for the formulation of release agents which are applied at very high temperatures of the die. An outstanding release effect is even obtained when extremely small amounts of WACKER® E 3196 are used.
  • The specific non-ionic emulsifier system in WACKER® E 3196 facilitates the combination with emulsions of other release agent actives. In addition, WACKER® E 3196 may be easily diluted with water at any time. Though being diluted, it exhibits good storage stability.
However, preliminary trials on compatibility and stability must be performed.
Before use, WACKER® E 3196 must be stirred thoroughly.
