WACKER® E210 may be applied by brush or by conventional spraying equipment. It can be diluted to low concentrations (0.5% to 2.5% solids) and used directly on the mold. However, if used as supplied, care should be taken to avoid over application. The number of releases per application will depend upon the type of plastic, design of the mold, and the curing temperature of the plastic. Usually a small experimental test should be performed prior to any production scale-up.
Paintability : WACKER® E210 may cause "fish-eyes" when applied to plastics intended to be painted, unless it is completely removed by cleaning the part with solvent (aromatic or chlorinated hydrocarbon), washing with detergent, or immersing in potassium hydroxide solution.
