ELASTOSIL® R 401/20 OH is a high-consistency silicone rubber (HCR). Vulcanizates cured with peroxide made from this compound exhibit a unique combination of characteristics. They are known for their good flexibility, high transparency, and mechanical properties. The compounds can be easily pigmented with ELASTOSIL® Color Paste PT and have good processing characteristics. ELASTOSIL® R 401/20 OH serves as a low-duro base, offering acceptable to good mechanical properties and good processing properties. It is also suitable as a blending component to soften ELASTOSIL® silicone rubber compounds.
