PULPSIL® 968 S is a hydrolytically stable silicone surfactant based on a water-dispersible polyether-modified silicone fluid. It was specifically developed for use in the pulp and paper industry. PULPSIL® 968 S offers the advantage of enhancing the efficiency of paper deaerators when used at a dosage range of 1.0% to 10.0% relative to the solid material of the deaerator.

PULPSIL® 255 C is a highly viscous, solvent-free, and water-free silicone antifoam compound specifically designed for use in pulp mills. It offers excellent efficiency in controlling foam. To achieve high efficiency, it is important to ensure proper dispersion of PULPSIL® 255 C in the foaming medium. This can be achieved by adding the product in its neat form, particularly when high amounts of surfactants and/or high shear forces are present to facilitate good dispersion.

PULPSIL® 960 S is a hydrolytically stable silicone surfactant based on a polyether-modified silicone fluid, designed specifically for use in the pulp and paper industry. This product is water-dispersible, allowing for easy incorporation into water-based systems. To achieve optimal dispersion, we suggest starting with water and gradually adding PULPSIL® 960 S while stirring continuously.

AROSURF® PA 852 is a non-volatile blend of non-ionic and cationic softeners used in tissue and towel manufacturing. It is suitable for virgin, low strength, and recycled fibers. The softener is applied to the wet web by spray, imparting a soft hand feel without affecting tensile strength or bulk softness. Tissue made with AROSURF® PA 852 leaves a pleasant afterfeel on the skin, and absorption properties are minimally reduced. The liquid blend is easily dispersed in warm water and has low viscosity for easy application by spray. AROSURF® PA 852 is an effective softener that enhances the quality of tissue and towel products.

TAGAT® V 20 is a non-ionic emulsifier that is based on POE-20 glycerol oleoricinoleate. It is a low-foaming emulsifier that finds use in a wide range of applications such as metal working fluids, concrete release agents, textile auxiliary formulations, and pulp and paper defoamers. TAGAT® V 20 is derived from natural raw materials, which makes it dermatologically safe and environmentally friendly. It has excellent emulsifying and stabilizing properties, which ensure the formation of finely dispersed and long-lasting stable oil-in-water emulsions. TAGAT® V 20 also enhances the solubility of biocides in mineral oil-based lubricants and improves the lubricating properties of water-mixed fluids. It has a low foaming tendency and provides excellent thermal stability.

AROSURF® PA 777 V is a specially formulated blend that is utilized in the production of fluff pulp to reduce tensile strength while maintaining absorbency. It is also used in the manufacturing of tissue and towelling as a softener and debonder to enhance bulk and reduce tensile strength in the wet end, particularly for recycled fiber. This hydrophilic liquid blend is made from fully vegetable and synthetic raw materials and is easy to handle. It is absorbed effectively by cellulosic fibers and has a minimal impact on water absorbency. AROSURF® PA 777 V is an effective softener and debonder that is ideal for use with fluff pulp and recycled fiber.

It is compatible with other chemicals and can be easily diluted to form lower viscosity emulsions using demineralized water while avoiding the presence of electrolytes and water hardness.

TEGO® Antifoam 288 is an emulsion antifoam featuring organo-modified siloxanes, primarily functioning as an anti-foaming agent. Notably compatible, it is suitable for use in the paper and pulp industry, especially in the production of coated paper and paperboard. Clinton 131 Corn Starch #028131 is an enzyme-converting starch containing an effective buffer system for optimum pH control that helps maintain efficient utilization of the enzyme during the conversion process. This ADM starch has been designed to be equally suitable for surface sizing and coating adhesive applications. For surface sizing operations, the enzyme-converted starch pastes are translucent and white and can be readily diluted to any desired concentration at the size press to produce the needed viscosity. For coating color adhesive operations, this product (with the appropriate enzyme dose) can produce a thin viscosity and consistently convert to the same viscosity each time. The resulting paste does not have an excessive reaction to plasticizers normally used in coating formulations. Therefore, good control of the final coating color viscosity is maintained. The resulting pastes of this product from both low and high solid enzyme conversion cycles have strong adhesive properties, which are suitable for mills making different grades of surface-sized or coated paper.

Clinton 240 Acid Modified Industrial Corn Starch #028240 is a medium-viscosity, acid-modified starch that is employed by the paper and textile industries for size applications, particularly at high temperatures. A benefit of this product is that the hot paste is less viscous than that of an unmodified starch, and at elevated temperatures, the pastes are slightly clearer. For most applications, it is desirable to hold this paste at high temperatures to prevent excessive setback. When dried, this starch forms tough, opaque films that withstand the physical tests characteristic of the paper industry, such as the tensile, Mullen, and wax pick tests.

Clin-Cat 880 Cationic Corn Starch HW #028880 is specifically prepared to produce a superior starch for the internal sizing of paper. As an industrial starch, this product can be used for ASA-size emulsification. It is a water-soluble polymer with the advantage of rapid hydration without increasing the temperature. With low shear mixing, this product can be mixed at different solid levels up to 25% in cold water.
