Lanette® SX is a cream base for cosmetic oil-in-water emulsions used for skin and hair care. It is self-emulsifying and anionic in nature, and is an alternative to stearate-based cream bases. It is composed of a mixture of cetylstearyl alcohol and an anionic emulsifier, and appears as white pellets with a faint intrinsic odor.
