DOWSIL(TM) 580 Wax is a soft, solid mixture of stearyl alcohol and stearoxytrimethylsilane. The cosmetic properties of this wax are a result of the silicone moiety. The inclusion of the stearoxy group involves compatibility with organic ingredients.
