Application Details
  • ETONIS® 7245 A is suitable for modifying both anionic and cationic asphalt emulsions where rapid setting, good machining, and easy clean-up properties are required.
  • It is used in waterproofing, roofing, tack coat, chip seal, fog seal, scrub seal, micro surfacing and sealers, and other cold asphalt applications.
  • Slight discoloration may occur without impairing the product's functionality. ETONIS® 7245 A may be used with both anionic and cationic asphalt emulsions.
  • ETONIS® 7245 A can be incorporated into asphalt emulsion through addition to the soap solution (batch process) or via co-milling (continuous process).
  • It may also be added directly to the asphalt emulsion with minimal stirring. The amount of ETONIS® 7245 A needed to modify cold asphalt emulsions ranges from 1.0 - 5. % v/v relative to the asphalt emulsion.
  • The amounts used in special applications for higher ductility, flexibility and elongation may be considerably higher. The exact amount will depend on the requirements profile.

Storage Information
  • During storage, protect the product from contact with moisture. Prolonged storage at temperatures above 30 °C, especially in combination with pressure, humidity or exposure to sunlight, may result in blocking.
  • Carefully seal any open containers and store them under suitable conditions. We recommend storing the product in a warehouse that provides cool and dry conditions.
  • Do not store the product for more than six months, starting from the date at which it was received, unless the Certificate of Analysis contains a different date, which would take precedence.
  • If the product is stored longer than recommended, it may still be used but users are advised to verify the properties required for the intended use.
