SABIC's Specialties Business FLEX NORYL™ WCD891B resin is a flexible, non-reinforced extrudable blend of Polyphenylene Ether (PPE) + Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE). This material contains non-halogenated flame retardant and performance capable of meeting UL VW-1 requirements, 80C end use temperature rating, and heat deformation performance as defined by UL 1581. FLEX NORYL™ WCD891B resin is intended for evaluation in wire and cable applications in dark colors. It has a Shore A Hardness reading of 89 and exhibits superior thermal stability, very low water absorption, good electric properties, and low specific gravity. Processing is typically conducted on standard extrusion equipment, and UL 1581 testing is conducted on 2.0mm wire with 0.12mm X 20 stranded copper conductor. This product does not contain PFAS intentionally added during SHPP’s manufacturing process and are not expected to contain unintentional PFAS impurities. SABIC's Specialties Business Cycoloy* RCX7233 (experimental grade name EXCY0355) resin is an injection moldable impact modified PC blend with non-brominated and non-chlorinated flame retardant. It contains 30% post consumer recycle content with a UL-94 V0 rating @ 0.75 mm for all color. Developed for applications require excellent flow and impact balance with thin wall flame resistance. This injection molding and extrusion grade contains non-brominated, non-chlorinated flame retardant and carries a UL94 flame rating of V0 at 0.75mm. NORYL PX2938 resin exhibits high heat resistance, high impact strength, dimensional stability, hydrolytic stability, and very low moisture absorption. This material is an excellent candidate for industrial applications such as cooling fans. This material contains non-halogenated flame retardant and performance capable of meeting EN 50265-2-1 requirement. FLEX NORYL™ WCD795 resin is intended for evaluation in AC cable insulation applications such as HD 21.14 flexible cables. It has a Shore A Hardness reading of 93 and exhibits superior thermal stability, very low water absorption, good electric properties, and low specific gravity. Processing is typically conducted on standard extrusion equipment, and UL 1581 testing is conducted on 2.0mm wire with 0.12mm X 20 stranded copper conductor. This extrusion grade contains non-brominated, non-chlorinated flame retardant and carries a UL94 flame rating of v0 at 3mm and V1 at 1.5mm. NORYL™ EN185 resin exhibits excellent impact strength, very low moisture absorption, good dimensional stability, and great machinability. NORYL™ EN185 resin is an excellent candidate for a variety of applications including fiber optic ducting.
