Dynasylan® SILBOND® 40 is an ethyl polysilicate, emerges from partial hydrolysis of tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS). This transformation converts ethoxy groups into hydroxyl groups, generating silanols. Subsequent condensation of silanols engenders siloxane bonds (-Si-O-Si-O-) and prompts eventual gelation. Often deployed as an intermediary, Dynasylan® SILBOND® 40 undergoes further hydrolysis to produce a binder suitable for diverse applications. SABIC's Specialties Business CYCOLOY CX7240 Polycarbonate/Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (PC/ABS) blend is an injection moldable, medium flow, non chlorinated/brominated flame retardant grade. It has a UL94 V0@.75mm, 5VA@3.0mm and 5VB@1.5mm flame rating. This grade has improved chemical resistance compared to standard PC/ABS blends and is a good candidate for thin wall applications.

The natural (uncolored) version of this grade is compliant with RoHS and also with Halogen Free standards as IEC 61249-2-21 and e.g. IPC 4101E.
