Safety Notes
  • BS 2410 A gives permanent effects even without the addition of a catalyst. Provided no resins are used, specific curing conditions need not be adhered to.
  • BS 2410 A can be applied by roll or spray method but, as with all products containing silicone it should not be subjected to high shear, as this might cause instability.
  • If BS 2410 A is used together with cross linking agents; catalysts and other additives, it should be added, in dilute form, after all the other products. This applies generally to the processing of all polysiloxanes.

Storage Information
  • BS 2410 A improves moisture and mildew resistance by improving hydrophobicity with a noticeable sheeting effect. These effects are fast and long lasting. As a rule, no adverse effect on the shade or color fastness properties of colored goods is observed.
  • BS 2410 A has a shelf life of at least 180 days if stored in originally sealed containers at 25°C or 70°F. Emulsions showing signs of creaming should be agitated before use to assure uniform consistency. If the material is kept beyond the recommended shelf life, it is not necessarily unusable, but quality control should be performed on the properties relevant to the application.
