- SILICONE FINISH CT 78 E is particularly suitable as softener for the impregnation of fibers and textiles.
- SILICONE FINISH CT 78 E imparts a very soft, smooth and elastic touch to woven and knitted fabrics.
- SILICONE FINISH CT 78 E is considered to be the best softening agent for PES/cotton fabrics.
- SILICONE FINISH CT 78 E improves the wash-and -wear properties and the crease recovery angle, sewability and tear strength and reduces abrasion loss. The effects are fast to washing and dry cleaning.
- SILICONE FINISH CT 78 E has very little effect on the degree of whiteness. Generally, no adverse effect on the shade or color fastness properties of colored goods is observed.
- As part of formulations used as fill fiber finish SILICONE FINISH CT 78 E imparts excellent slickness and resilience to the fiber.
Processing- SILICONE FINISH CT 78 E gives permanent effects even without the addition of a catalyst. Specific curing conditions need not be adhered to if no resins are used.
- SILICONE FINISH CT 78 E can be applied by padding method, but the finishing liquors should not be subjected to high shear, as this might cause instability.
- 5-30 g/l SILICONE FINISH CT 78 E are recommended for the pad method.
- SILICONE FINISH CT 78 E can be applied either alone or together with resins and other finishing agents. Higher crease recovery angles and lower abrasion values can be obtained in resin finishes by using SILICONE FINISH CT 78 E.
- A wide range of touches can be obtained by combining SILICONE FINISH CT 78 E with conventional softening agents and other additives such as fillers based on polyacrylate.
