Features & Benefits

Product Overview
  • Radiance is a universal beauty criterion today, and having a “healthy glow”, thanks to a fresh and glowing complexion, is a main beauty concern for women. Synonymous with good health and vitality, radiance comes from the skin’s ability to reflect light ; this capacity depends on skin quality. As such, a well-structured and hydrated epidermis, associated with a smooth, homogeneous surface, will reflect light like a mirror. The skin then appears radiant and energized, as if its inner health radiates outwards.
  • Unfortunately, many internal and external factors can impair skin quality and, therefore, the complexion’s radiance. Dry and sensitive skin, suffering from an weakened barrier function, is particularly affected, and can quickly become uneven. The various environmental factors or stresses lead to poor skin regeneration. The epidermis is deeply damaged, resulting in surface in a rough skin that may be flaky. These irregularities disturb the reflection of light, and the skin turns dull.
  • The simplest way to improve radiance is to act on the surface using an exfoliant which will immediately smooth the skin. However, exfoliation, whether mechanical or chemical, can irritate dry, sensitive skin. Therefore, other ways to obtain this coveted healthy glow need to be explored. The Solabia Group’s Research focused on the biological mechanisms of epidermal renewal (Energization, Regeneration, and Natural exfoliation) to improve the quality of dry, sensitive skin and boost its radiance.

Kale, The Detox Star

Kale (Brassica oleracea) or leaf cabbage belongs to the Brassicaceae family. It is an old variety of green cabbage from the Mediterranean where it was eaten in Antiquity. Its cultivation was abandoned for a very long time, until a recent craze in the USA where this green cabbage was touted in diets for its many benefits and its high nutritional density. Rich in omega 3, 6, and 9, minerals (iron, calcium, sulfur), antioxidants, and vitamins, Kale is also a beauty ally. Its phytonutrients give its powerful protective properties. It is also a detoxifier as it contains an enzymatic system that helps limit the impact of environmental stresses on the skin.

Sulfur, A Source of Radiance

One of Kale’s properties is its high sulfur content, present both in mineral and organic form, through the presence of isothiocyanates. Sulfur is the third most common mineral in the body and is essential for skin beauty and radiance. It protects cells and, as a cofactor in the respiratory chain, it supports the production of energy by mitochondria. It also has keratolytic properties that play a role in smoothing skin texture and refining the stratum corneum. Isothiocyanates are involved in cellular detoxification. These sulfur compounds therefore accelerate the elimination of skin toxins.

Mode of Action

NeoGlow® acts on three levels to restore epidermis homeostasis and improve the radiance of dry, sensitive skin:

  1. It boosts the energy capacities of the skin to help it counter cellular damage from stress and maintain proteostasis
  2. It regenerates the epidermis structure by improving its cohesion and hydration, for skin that is better able to reflect light
  3. It gently stimulates the skin’s natural exfoliation by boosting the biological desquamation processes, for smoother and more radiant skin

By energizing cells to help them cope with radiance-damaging stresses, NeoGlow® maintains the balance between cell regeneration in the deep layers of the epidermis and surface exfoliation. It thus ensures good epidermal renewal for a fine and smooth skin texture guaranteeing a fresh and radiant complexion.
