ELASTOSIL® R 757/60 is a high-consistency silicone rubber (HCR) known for its exceptional resistance to hot air, especially when a heat stabilizer is added. The material exhibits excellent tear resistance, a low compression set, and high elasticity. It is suitable for use in appliance cables that comply with UL 758 and have a temperature rating of 250 oC.

Application Details

Processing

Vulcanizates that have not been post-cured can be used in numerous applications as post-curing has only little effect on mechanical properties. To obtain optimum compression set values it is advisable to post cure for 4 h at 200 °C.
