HALOX® 550 is a liquid organic-inorganic sol-gel corrosion inhibitor designed for corrosion protection in thin film coatings such as water and solvent-based finishes, high gloss DTM, conventional primers, acrylic clear coats, fast-drying lacquers, wash primers, anti-fingerprint coatings, and conversion coatings. HALOX® RC-980 is an organic additive designed to convert red rust to black iron oxide. It can be used in slightly acidic waterborne vinyl or PVDC binders applied to rusted steel substrates. It converts the rust within minutes of the coating application and forms a black iron oxide barrier that can be further top-coated with water or solvent-based paints. It does not contain tannic acid, oxime chelates, phosphates, or phosphoric acid.

Because of its low oil absorption, HALOX® CW-291 is specifically suggested for use in high-solids, medium-gloss topcoats, DTM (direct-to-metal) finishes, and self-priming systems. HALOX® CW-291 is compliant with ASTM D 4288-83, specification for calcium borosilicate pigment type 1, class B.

HALOX® 570 is an organic corrosion inhibitor designed for use in waterborne industrial and decorative coatings to provide flash rust and long-term corrosion protection on metal surfaces. HALOX® 570 is especially effective along weld seams and, in some cases, can also be used in solvent-based coatings and UV-cured systems. HALOX® 570 may be used in formulations based on waterborne acrylic latexes and co-polymers, styrene/acrylic latexes, acrylate epoxy esters, 2-pack epoxy systems, alkyds, alkyd/acrylic blends, and 1 or 2-pack polyurethane. HALOX® 570 may be used in both waterborne primers and direct-to-metal topcoats. In direct-to-metal coatings, HALOX® 570 has a minimal effect on gloss reduction.

HALOX® CW-2230 has the highest borate content and can be effectively formulated into resins such as medium and long-oil alkyds, epoxy-esters, and modified alkyd systems. HALOX® CW-2230 is compliant with ASTM D 4288-83, specification for calcium borosilicate pigment type 2.

HALOX® 515 LFG is a low-freeze-grade liquid organic corrosion inhibitor suitable for high-gloss (direct-to-metal) coating systems. When used as recommended, HALOX® 515 LFG provides cost-effective flash rust protection and long-term corrosion protection. It is effective for thin film applications (<2 mils). HALOX® 515 LFG is heavy metal-free, nitrite-free, and does not contain chromates or phosphates. Testing with HALOX® 515 LFG has shown improved adhesion at the scribe and good humidity resistance. Additionally, it has been proven effective as a flash rust inhibitor on weld seams.

HALOX® FLASH-X® 330 is a liquid additive that is effective in preventing flash rust and in-can rusting in waterborne protective coatings without the use of nitrites. It is a nitrite-free product that provides excellent flash rust inhibitory performance on various metal substrates and is recommended for use in high-gloss systems. It does not detract from gloss, is easy to use, and can be incorporated at any stage of coating manufacture. Additionally, it can be post-added to any coating system with ease. However, it is important to check compatibility before use, as with any additive.
