MOCOM Compounds ALFATER® XL A55I 2GP0050 is a black thermoplastic vulcanisate (PP+EPDM) suitable for pre-drying conditions in a dry air (dessiccant) dryer with temperatures of 70-80°C for 2-4 hours with a maximum moisture content of <0.10%. It has good recovery, weathering resistance, chemical resistance, ozone resistance, hot air resistance, and hydrolysis resistance. It is used mainly in the injection molding process with melt temperatures of 195-230°C, mold temperatures of 10-60°C, high injection speed, and back pressure (hydraulic) >5 bar and holding pressure 50-70% of injection pressure. It is used in automotive, building and construction, electrical and electronic, machinery, and furniture applications for injection molded parts such as seals, sealing lips, handles, soft touch elements, impact protection/shock absorbers, protection caps, cable ducts, plugs, fasteners, and connectors, 2K components.
