ELASTOSIL® R 863/65 MH is a peroxide-curing silicone rubber known for its exceptional green strength, which greatly improves calendering and extrusion performance. When uncured, the extruded hoses made from this silicone rubber exhibit high dimensional stability and a non-sticky surface. ELASTOSIL® R 863/65 is specifically formulated as a high green-strength peroxide-curing silicone rubber. It is recommended to add heat stabilizers when operating at service temperatures exceeding 180 °C.

ELASTOSIL® R 863/65 MH shows improved coolant resistance and therefore is particularly suitable for the economical production of radiator hoses in the automotive industry.

Cure conditions: 15 min / 165 °C in press, post-cured 4 h / 200 °C, containing ELASTOSIL® AUX Crosslinker C1 (Dicumylperoxide) for cured properties.
