Barquat® CB-50 and Barquat® CB-80 Antimicrobials both contain the active substance C12-18 Alkyl dimethyl benzyl ammonium chloride (ADBAC). The active is a cationic molecule offering good surfactant properties and can be formulated together with non-ionic- and/or amphoteric surfac- tants. ADBAC has a broad antimicrobial efficacy against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, yeast, and enveloped viruses. High antimi- crobial efficacy is maintained across a broad pH-range. In formulated products, ADBAC is stable around a wide range of pH levels and is used in a number of applications such as food processing, institutional, vet- erinary, healthcare areas, and medical devices. Single-active C12-18 ADBAC products are available in different active concentrations and solvent combinations.

Lgard® BKC cGMP antimicrobial is a flexible quaternary ammonium-based compound used as a hand care antimicrobial active ingredient as well as a personal care or pharmaceutical preservative. Lgard BKC cGMP antimicrobial is produced under cGMP conditions to meet API standards; it is also acceptable worldwide. Lgard BKC cGMP antimicrobial offers extensive efficacy, mildness, and safety.

Glydant® LTD is a high performance preservative for cosmetics and toiletries that is fully compatible with cationic, anionic or nonionic surfactants, emulsifiers and proteins. Glydant Plus® is a synergistic preservation system that combines two well-known and traditional chemistries for personal care. The combination of DMDM Hydantoin and Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate (IPBC) allow for a dual mode of action, offering broad spectrum efficacy. These chemistries been used in personal care for years and have excellent safety and toxicological data. This product contains twice the amount of active ingredient as LSI’s Glydant Plus® Liquid but is offered as a powder form.

OMACIDE® IPBC 30 DPG Industrial Fungicide is a broad-spectrum liquid fungicide. It is easily dispersible into most formulations. The solvent package is dipropylene glycol. It is effective in preserving a wide range of products from spoilage. It is effective in products having a wide pH range (2 to 10). IPBC is sensitive to storage in formulations that contain primary amines or the pH of the formulations is greater than 9.1. IPBC may degrade in formulations that are stored for extended periods of time at temperatures greater than 45°C.

ZINC OMADINE™ 48% Dispersion Antimicrobial is an off-white 48% aqueous dispersion. It is a mixture in water of very fine particles of zinc pyrithione, a dispersant, and a viscosity control agent. ZINC OMADINE™ 48% Dispersion Antimicrobial inhibits the growth of a broad spectrum of both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. It also inhibits the growth of fungi, yeast, mold, and algae.

OMACIDE™ IPBC 20 Fungicide is a highly effective, fast acting antifungal agent based on the chemical active 3-iodopropynyl butylcarbamate (IPBC). It is a mild odor, amber colored liquid for use as a post treatment additive. This product is most effective when used in dilute soluble oil and semi-synthetic fluid systems. OMACIDE™ IPBC 20 Fungicide can be applied in metalworking, cutting, cooling, and lubricating fluids.

Proxel® LSR Preservative is a highly effective blend of two biocidal actives, which in combination provide complementary modes of action, leading to a robust and broad range efficacy. Proxel® BD Preservative is a broad spectrum industrial preservative for use in aqueous systems, such as paints, synthetic polymer emulsions and thickeners. Its neutral pH helps avoid electrolyte shock.

Sodium Omadine® 2000 Antimicrobial is an effective preservative in most aqueous compositions. The concentration required to give protection depends on several factors including the susceptibility of the system to microbiological degradation, the extent to which microorganisms can gain access, the species involved, pH, temperature, and length of time for which protection is required.

Proxel® MB4 Preservative is a solvent-free, zero VOC, broad spectrum preservative for the protection of industrial water-based products against spoilage from bacteria, yeasts and fungi. It is a dual active blend of 1,2-benzisothiazolin-3-one (BIT) and 2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one (MIT) that has been specially formulated. The actual labeling requirements for the formulated product should however be discussed with your local Lonza representative.

OMACIDE™ IPBC 40 Industrial Fungicide is a pungent aromatic, pale yellow to amber-colored liquid broad spectrum fungicide additive. It is used in architectural coatings, textiles, construction applications such as paints, stains, adhesives, caulks, and sealants, as well as plastic product applications to prevent dry film fungal growth. OMACIDE™ IPBC 40 Industrial Fungicide is also a very effective additive for controlling fungal growth in aqueous-based fluids such as inks and metalworking fluids.

Proxel® TN Preservative is a dual active, broad spectrum biocide for the preservation of industrial water-based products against spoilage from bacteria, yeasts and fungi. It is a 55% aqueous solution of 1,2-benzisothiazolin-3-one (BIT) and hexahydro-1,3,5-tris(2-hydroxyethyl)-s-triazine, a formaldehyde release agent. It is effective in a wide range of industrial aqueous-based products. The combination of two active agents provides a quick microbial kill with long term protection. The “triazine” active agent gives enhanced head space protection in the container.

VANQUISH™ 100 Antimicrobial is based on the active agent N-butyl-1,2-benzisothiazolin-3-one (BBIT) and is recommended for use in tough and demanding applications especially those exposed to high UV levels. It is a broad spectrum antimicrobial used to prevent fungal, bacterial, and algal spoilage of polymers such as PVC, polyurethane, silicone, polyolefin, polyester, and acrylic articles such as shower curtains, coated fabric, vinyl wall coverings, floor coverings, appliance gaskets, wall and floor coatings, and swimming pool, pond, and ditch liners.

It is an aqueous dispersion of formulation of 1,2-benzisothiazolin-3-one (BIT) and a 3:1 blend of 5-chloro-2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one (CMIT) and 2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one (MIT). This product is effective in polymer emulsions, paints, adhesives, pigment dispersions and household products.

Omacide™ IPBC 20% DPG Fungicide is a broad spectrum liquid fungicide based on the widely used fungicide active, 3-iodopropynybutylcarbamate (IPBC). It is a 20% blend of IPBC (active ingredient) in dipropylene glycol. It is recommended for use in the formulation of soluble oil and semi-synthetic concentrates. However, this product can also be used as a post treatment additive (i.e. Tank side addition) for metalworking fluid systems which have been identified as being contaminated with fungi.

PROXEL® XL2 Antimicrobial is a broad spectrum biocide for the preservation of industrial water-based products against spoilage from bacteria, yeasts and fungi. It is a 10% aqueous propylene glycol solution of 1,2-benzisothiazolin-3-one.

Proxel® BD Antimicrobial is a broad spectrum industrial preservative for use in aqueous systems such as paints, synthetic polymer emulsions, and thickeners. Its neutral pH helps avoid electrolyte shock. Based on the proven Arch chemical, 1,2-benzisothiazolin-3-one (BIT), Proxel® BD Antimicrobial has an easy to use aqueous dispersion, additives compatible with customer products and processes, and good flow properties. It also contains no added formaldehyde, has low acute mammalian toxicity, and has a broad pH compatibility.

It is a 20% aqueous dispersion of 1,2-benzisothiazolin-3-one. Proxel® BD20 Antimicrobial is effective in a wide range of industrial aqueous-based products such as emulsion paints, water-based adhesives, household products, printing inks, paper coating compositions, metal working fluids, and agricultural pesticide dispersions. This product should be added to the system as early in the process as possible.

Proxel® BZ Antimicrobial is a dual active broad spectrum biocide for the preservation of industrial water-based products against spoilage from bacteria, yeasts and fungi. It is a 20% aqueous dispersion of 1,2-benzisothiazolin-3-one and zinc pyrithione. Proxel® BZ Antimicrobial is effective in a wide range of industrial aqueous-based products, particularly in those products that are susceptible to fungal contamination. Some of those areas include emulsion paints, water-based adhesives, pigment cakes/dispersions, printing inks, textile auxiliaries, and household products.
