MOCOM Compounds ALCOM® POM 770/1 PTFE18 SI2 is a polyoxymethylene copolymer with a 20% PTFE/Silicone filler/additive system designed for improved sliding and wear in the automotive and machinery market segments. Typical applications include functional components, bearings, and sliding elements. It can be processed by injection molding with a melt temperature of 180-220°C and a mold temperature of 60-100°C. Pre-drying conditions include either a dry air (desiccant) dryer for 2-3 hours at 100-110°C, or an air circulating dryer for 3-5 hours at 100-110°C, depending on the moisture content.
