alphamega³ 400 MT Vegan Algal DHA Oil is extracted from the marine algae, Schizochytrium sp., in an aqueous-based, chemical-free process. The resulting oil is then further processed to meet strict sensory and quality parameters. The resultant product is a high quality, fully winterized algal oil (clear at room temperature), with minimal taste and odor. alphamega³ 400 MT contains 40% DHA (400mg/g) and mixed tocopherols. alphamega³ 400 MT is an ideal ingredient for brands seeking a clean-label Omega-3 ingredient, and is Organic Compliant. alphamega³ 400 MT is most commonly used in infant and early childhood nutrition applications, dietary supplements, functional foods and beverages and plant-based meat alternatives where manufacturers want the nutritional benefits of plant-derived Omega-3 DHA without an underlying marine smell or taste.

thetamega³ 650 R-TG Vegan Algal DHA Concentrate is an innovative addition to our lineup of vegan Omega-3s, thetamega³ concentrates are high-potency, high-quality, highly sustainable vegan algal omega-3 concentrates derived from the co-stream of our alphamega³ oils. thetamega³ concentrates boast the highest triglyceride composition on the market — more than 90% pure triglyceride, with less than 1% Ethyl Esters. This results in a superior sensory performance and a product that honors the natural form of our pristine algal source of Omega-3s. thetamega³ concentrates are best suited to supplement & nutraceutical applications where maximum dosage and/or reduced capsule size are key considerations. Unlike our alphamega³ oils, our plant-derived Omega-3 DHA concentrates may have a medium marine smell or taste and are therefore not recommended for food and beverage applications.

    • Ingredient Name:Red Algae
    • Functions:Thickener, Viscosity Modifier
    • Physical Form:Powder, Solid
    • Features:Rich in Minerals
The red marrine macro algae available from Seatech include Dulse, porphyra, Dumontia, Giantina. Various Red Marine Algae (Rhodophyta) have been shown to have strong anti-viral properties. The primary mechanisms of action seem to involve viral replication and to function via an extra-cellular mechanism. Direct scientific evidence obtained from in vitro experiments indicates that one or more components in the algae (probably sulfated polysaccharides) block the binding of viral particles to specific sites on the outer membrane of potential target cells. Binding of viral particles to the cellular membrane sites is an essential step in viral replication and spread of the infection. In the presence of RMA, the spread are of viral particles to new cells is blocked and the infective process is essentially limited. Symptoms of viral infection minimized and recovery is accelerated. Cold sores resulting from Herpes labialis that would normally increase to form lesions 1 cm in diameter may stop at a few millimeters in the presence of RMA. Cold sores seem to disappear within 24 hours from the time of administration of RMA while untreated sores may persist for several days. The active agent present in RMA seems to be effective when either ingested or when applied topically. There is additional evidence that suggests that some RMA may have a second mechanism for antiviral activity. A component(s) present in RMA may interfere with viral replication at an intracellular site which is yet unidentified. The result is that the infective process is inhibited. Finally, there is some preliminary evidence that RMA may demonstrate immune-modulating activity.
