HALOX® RC-980 is an organic additive designed to convert red rust to black iron oxide. It can be used in slightly acidic waterborne vinyl or PVDC binders applied to rusted steel substrates. It converts the rust within minutes of the coating application and forms a black iron oxide barrier that can be further top-coated with water or solvent-based paints. It does not contain tannic acid, oxime chelates, phosphates, or phosphoric acid.

HALOX® CW-291 is a white, non-refractive, corrosion-inhibiting pigment used in protective coating systems. It is not recommended for use in immersion or semi-immersion environments. HALOX® CW-291 has the lowest oil absorption of all our borosilicate products and is recommended for use in protective coating systems based on alkyd technology. Because of its low oil absorption, HALOX® CW-291 is specifically suggested for use in high-solids, medium-gloss topcoats, DTM (direct-to-metal) finishes, and self-priming systems. HALOX® CW-291 is compliant with ASTM D 4288-83, specification for calcium borosilicate pigment type 1, class B.

HALOX® CW-314 is a heavy metal-free, non-toxic, anti-corrosive pigment designed for use in waterborne and solvent-borne protective coating systems. It is particularly suitable for systems where 21 CFR 175.300 approval or compliance with ANSI or NSF standards is required. HALOX® CW-314 is highly effective in improving the infrared (IR) reflectance and thermal emissivity of elastomeric roof coatings. It enhances the total solar reflectance (TSR) while maintaining dirt pick-up resistance (DPUR) and preventing mildew growth. It can be used alone or in combination with other non-toxic corrosion inhibitors and mineral pigments in the formulation of environmentally friendly specialty paints.

HALOX® 550 is a liquid organic-inorganic sol-gel corrosion inhibitor designed for corrosion protection in thin film coatings such as water and solvent-based finishes, high gloss DTM, conventional primers, acrylic clear coats, fast-drying lacquers, wash primers, anti-fingerprint coatings, and conversion coatings. HALOX® 570 is an organic corrosion inhibitor designed for use in waterborne industrial and decorative coatings to provide flash rust and long-term corrosion protection on metal surfaces. HALOX® 570 is especially effective along weld seams and, in some cases, can also be used in solvent-based coatings and UV-cured systems. HALOX® 570 may be used in formulations based on waterborne acrylic latexes and co-polymers, styrene/acrylic latexes, acrylate epoxy esters, 2-pack epoxy systems, alkyds, alkyd/acrylic blends, and 1 or 2-pack polyurethane. HALOX® 570 may be used in both waterborne primers and direct-to-metal topcoats. In direct-to-metal coatings, HALOX® 570 has a minimal effect on gloss reduction.

This pigment is highly versatile and serves as a standard corrosion inhibitor for most high-performance resin systems, including vinyl, chlorinated rubbers, and epoxies. It is especially recommended for high acid-value resins, catalyzed baking systems, and vinylidene chloride latexes. In addition, HALOX® Zinc Phosphate is an ideal choice for thin film applications (less than 1 mil or 25 microns). It meets the ASTM D 6280-98 specification for zinc phosphate pigment type I and is widely used in the industry.

HALOX® 630 is a liquid organic corrosion inhibitor for solvent-borne protective coatings on metal surfaces. It may be used in solventborne clear or pigmented coatings and in systems such as 2-pack epoxy systems, high-solids epoxy esters, alkyds, acrylic resins, and 2 pack polyurethane primers. However, in bake systems, the temperature should not exceed 150°C. It should be noted that yellowing may be observed with reactive isocyanates. HALOX® 630 provides superior corrosion resistance even over poorly prepared surfaces, such as adherent rust or oil contamination.

HALOX® SW-111 is a white, nonrefractive, corrosion-inhibiting pigment used in protective coating systems. HALOX® SW-111 is recommended for use in most water-borne and solvent-borne epoxies. HALOX® SW-111 can be formulated into most water-reducible resin systems and corrosion-resistant caulks and sealants.

HALOX® SZP-395 is a white, non-refractive, corrosion-inhibiting pigment used in protective coating systems. HALOX® SZP-395 is the most efficient and versatile corrosion-inhibiting pigment. It is recommended for use in a wide variety of resin systems and is equally effective in such resins as alkyds (both traditional and high solids), epoxies, latexes, water-reducible alkyds, high acid value resins, catalyzed baking systems, and vinylidene chloride latexes. The fine particle size and low oil absorption of HALOX® SZP-395 make it the pigment of choice in thin film applications (<1 mil or 25 microns).

HALOX® 570 LS is a ready-to-use liquid version of our popular organic corrosion inhibitor, HALOX® 570, which requires no dilution. It is designed for use in water-based industrial and decorative coatings to provide flash rust and long-term corrosion protection on metal surfaces. It is especially effective along weld seams to prevent galvanic corrosion. HALOX® 570 LS may be used in formulations based on water-based acrylics, epoxy esters, 2-component epoxy, water-reducible alkyds, and water-based polyurethanes. HALOX® 570 LS may be used in both water-based primers and direct-to-metal topcoats. In direct-to-metal coatings, HALOX® 570 LS has a minimal effect on gloss reduction.

HALOX® 550 WF is a water-free (WF) corrosion inhibitor and adhesion promoter that uses a sol-gel-based formula. It is designed to protect a variety of coatings, including waterborne and solventborne clear coats, glossy direct-to-metal coatings, thin-film coatings, acrylic emulsions, polyurethanes, epoxies, alkyds, water-reducible alkyds, PVB wash primers, and polyester resins. This product is suitable for use in low-pH and acid-catalyzed systems.
