MOCOM Compounds ALCOM® MED PP 2040 BL1182-19 is a polypropylene homopolymer with a 40% glass fiber filler/additive system specifically designed for use in the Medical/Personal Care market segment. It is typically used for housings. To ensure optimal performance, it is recommended that pre-drying be done in a dry air (dessiccant) dryer at 80-120°C for 2-3 hours or an air circulating dryer at 80-120°C for 2-4 hours. Processing injection molding should be done with a melt temperature of 200-270°C and mold temperature of 20-90°C. It is important to protect the material from light and not expose it to temperatures above 30°C, as this may cause material degradation.
