- Application Details
- LIOSIL® FC 203 is combined with conventional fabric softeners. Due to the special composition LIOSIL® FC 203 improves the hydrophilicity of the fabrics by which the absorbency is increased significantly.
- Additionally, LIOSIL® FC 203 reduces the friction force of the iron and therefore the ironing properties are improved.
Processing
- Preferably, LIOSIL® FC 203 is mixed with the fabric softener at the end of fabric softener production by stirring gently.
Example for a fabric softener with LIOSIL® FC 203:
- 20.0 parts esterquat, e.g. Stepantex VK 90 (50°C) are poured slowly in 75.6 parts demineralized water (50°C) while stirring until the mixture is homogenous;
- 0.4 parts CaCl2 solution (25%) are added;
- q.s. perfume, dye, preservative are added;
- 4 parts LIOSIL® FC 203 are mixed while stirring.
Dosage recommendation: About 3 - 6 % LIOSIL® FC 203 in the fabric softener formulation.
