This product features low surface tension and a high spreading coefficient. The flexible polymer backbone of dimethicones enables excellent gas permeability, allowing the skin to breathe by facilitating the passage of gasses such as water vapor and oxygen.

BELSIL® eco DM 5 is widely used in a highly varied range of personal-care formulations. Formulations with BELSIL® eco DM 5 have better spreading properties and can be easily distributed on the skin. In these formulations, it imparts a hydrophobic, protective but breathable barrier to the skin, simultaneously minimizing stickiness. It reduces whitening and imparts a soft emolliency to the skin.
