BELSIL® eco DM 50 is an unmodified, linear polydimethylsiloxane derived from renewable raw materials, certified according to the "TÜV NORD Standard REDcert²." This product features low surface tension and a high spreading coefficient. The flexible polymer backbone of dimethicones enables excellent gas permeability, allowing the skin to breathe by facilitating the passage of gasses such as water vapor and oxygen.

Application Details

BELSIL® eco DM 50 is widely used in a highly varied range of personal-care formulations. Formulations with BELSIL® eco DM 50 have better spreading properties and can be easily distributed on the skin. In these formulations, it imparts a hydrophobic, protective but breathable barrier to the skin, simultaneously minimizing stickiness. It reduces whitening and imparts a soft emolliency to the skin.
