SILRES® BS 43 N

SILRES® BS 43 N is a water-dilutable silicone resin emulsion primarily used as a binder in the production of silicone resin emulsion paints and silicone resin plasters. It serves as the main binder in these formulations, playing a crucial role in their performance. When properly formulated with SILRES® BS 43 N, the resulting products exhibit several desirable characteristics. They demonstrate high permeability to water vapor and CO2, allowing for effective moisture and gas exchange. Additionally, these products have low water absorption coefficients, which help minimize water ingress and potential damage.

Application Details
  • SILRES® BS 43 N is the main binder employed in silicone resin emulsion paints and silicone resin plasters. If formulated properly the products made with it are characterized by high permeability to water vapor and CO2, low water absorption coefficients, low soiling tendency, a mineral appearance and long life.
  • An excellent beading effect is also achieved if SILRES® BS 1306 is added. Facades must be primed before painting for optimal protection.
  • We recommend high quality SILRES® BS primers.
  • SILRES® BS 43 N can also be used in water-based formulations for the color enhancement of mineral substrates.
