- Application Details
SILFOAM® SC 370 is ideal for aqueous systems in which silicones would usually cause problems, e. g., the manufacture and processing of dispersions, paints and surface coatings, adhesives, cooling lubricants and textile applications. Due to its hydrolytic stability, SILFOAM® SC 370 may be used in a wide pH range.
Processing
- SILFOAM® SC 370 may be added as it is at high shear rates or in the form of a dispersion. Suitable dispersing agents include ethanol, 2-propanol, and acetone.
- The exact dosage of SILFOAM® SC 370 has to be determined in preliminary tests. We recommend starting with amounts between 0.02 and 0.5 %.
Properties
- Dispersible in
- Ethanol, 2-propanol, Acetone
