- If the product stands about for a longer time or if any separation appears, we recommend mixing the product up shortly.
- As a clue we propose a stirring time of 10 - 30 minutes at a rotational speed of 200 rpm.
- The exact dosage must be determined in preliminary tests.
- We recommend starting with amounts between 0.05% and 0.3%.
- SILFOAM® SD 8260 can be transformed into a stable antifoam emulsion in concentrations of e.g. 15%, 30%, and 50%.
- Requirements are a Dissolver equipment (or another similar, shear-intensive stirring aggregate) and the previous manufacture of the watery solution of a thickening agent.
- The watery dilution of SILFOAM® SD 8260 is very sensitive against freezing and should not be stored at too high temperature.
- The recommended storage temperature for the emulsion is between +5°C and +35 °C.
- We recommend using the emulsion as soon as possible after the manufacture.

- Basically, SILFOAM SD 8260 is recommended for foaming systems where a high compatibility with the antifoam agent must be ensured.
- SILFOAM® SD 8260 can be used in applications which usually pose problems for silicones, e. g., paints, adhesives and water miscible cooling lubricants.
- In addition, SILFOAM® SD 8260 exhibits excellent degassing properties in high solids content systems, e. g. concretes or mortars.
