WACKER® FINISH WR 210 is suitable for the formulation of micro emulsions and macro emulsions. WACKER® FINISH WR 210 can be utilized as the active substance in softener emulsions or in combination with other components, e.g. paraffin waxes, organic softeners, etc. Compatibility of the components has to be checked in each individual case. When applied under normal conditions as part of a softener formulation, WACKER® FINISH WR 210 has no effect on the whiteness. In fact, it has no perceptible influence on the color or color fastness of textiles and fibers in general.
Processing
- WACKER® FINISH WR 210 can be applied neat, from solution, or emulsion. Suitable solvents are aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, chlorinated hydrocarbons, esters, higher alcohols, and ketones.
- Most textile processes are water based. Hence WACKER® FINISH WR 210 is mainly applied from emulsion. Emulsions prepared of WACKER® FINISH WR 210 are diluted to the optimum concentration for the specific fabric. Application can be done either by padding or exhaustion method.

- WACKER® FINISH WR 210 is particularly suitable as active substance in softener formulations for the impregnation of fibers and textiles. WACKER® FINISH WR 210 imparts a soft, drapable, and elastic touch to woven and knitted fabrics.
- WACKER ® FINISH WR 210 imparts excellent slickness and resilience to the fiber. Furthermore textiles treated with WACKER® FINISH WR 210 improve moisture management. Additionally wash-and-wear properties and the crease recovery angle, sewability and tear strength are increased and abrasion loss is reduced. The effects are fast to washing and dry cleaning.
