Processing

  • The exact dosage must be determined in preliminary tests. We recommend starting with amounts between 0.05% and 0.3%.
  • SILFOAM® SD 860 has to be added as it is.

Application

  • Basically, SILFOAM® SD 860 is recommended for organic systems where a high compatibility with the antifoam agent must be ensured.
  • SILFOAM® SD 860 can be used in applications which usually pose problems for silicones, e. g., paints, adhesives and water miscible cooling lubricants.
  • In addition, SILFOAM® SD 860 exhibits excellent degassing properties in high solids content systems, e. g. concretes, mortars, and ceramic slurries.
