WACKER® E 110 is a nonionic macroemulsion of nonreactive polydimethylsiloxane. It is primarily used for treating fibers and textiles, either alone in aqueous dilution or in combination with organic softeners. Before mixing with organic softeners, a compatibility test is recommended. WACKER® E 110 serves as a sewing thread lubricant for polyester yarns used on high-speed sewing machines, reducing friction between the fibers.

Application Details

WACKER® E 110 is applied alone in aqueous dilution or combined with organic softeners for the treatment of fibers and textiels. Before mixing with organic softeners, a compatibility test is recommended. WACKER® E 110 is used as sewing thread lubricant for polyester yarns used on high-speed sewing machines in order to reduce the friction of fibers.

Processing

WACKER® E 110 can be applied either alone or together with resins and other finishing agents. Higher crease recovery angles and lower abrasion values can be obtained in resin finishes by using WACKER® E 110. A wide range of touches can be obtained by combining WACKER® E 110 with conventional softening agents and other additives such as fillers based on polyacrylate.
