WACKER® NE 4720 is an anionic oil-in-water emulsion of medium-viscosity polydimethylsiloxane. It has a low viscosity and can be easily diluted with water. WACKER® NE 4720 exhibits excellent wetting properties on various substrates. Importantly, it does not cause stress crack corrosion when in contact with acrylic glass or polycarbonates.

Application Details
  • Due to its composition and property profile, WACKER NE 4720 can be used versatilely.
  • It is best suitable as universal release agent for the vulcanization of different types of rubber.
  • WACKER® NE 4720 does not cause stress crack corrosion in contact with acrylic glass or polycarbonates. Therefore it can be used especially as release and antiblocking agent for the manufacture of rubber profiles, example weather strips, which get in contact with these materials.
  • Furthermore, the emulsion is suitable best for the formulation of paint and vinyl conditioners. The active agent contained supports an easy polishing of the conditioner formulations and improves the brightness.
  • WACKER® NE 4720 has to be stirred well before use.
