- Application Details
- ELASTOSIL® R 756/70 OH is optimized for applications at high temperatures and can be used for molding applications. Vulcanizates of ELASTOSIL® R 756/70 OH in combination with ELASTOSIL® AUX Stabilizer, can withstand temperatures of 300 °C for at least seven days.
- Postcured parts can be used for food contact applications and are suitable for use under the Recommendation "XV. Silicones" of the BfR and FDA 177.2600 under observance of any given limitations on extractable and volatile substances.
Processing
-
Vulcanisates which have not been post-cured can be used in numerous fields of applications, since postcuring has only little effect on mechanical properties. To obtain optimum compression set values it is advisable to post-cure for 4 hours at 200 °C.

- Note
Cure conditions: 0.7 % ELASTOSIL® AUX Crosslinker C1 (Dicumylperoxide), 15 min / 165 °C in press, post-cured 4 h / 200 °C for curing properties.
Heat Resistance Conditions:
- heat stabilized up to 250 °C with 1.5 % ELASTOSIL® AUX Stabilizer H3.
- heat stabilized up to 300 °C with 1.5 % ELASTOSIL® AUX Stabilizer H3 and 2.0% ELASTOSIL® AUX Stabilizer H6.
