SILFOAMĀ® SE 39

SILFOAMĀ® SE 39 is a low-viscosity antifoam emulsion known for its long-lasting efficiency. It is especially well-suited for surfactant-rich formulations like liquid detergents and textile auxiliaries. SILFOAMĀ® SE 39 is particularly effective in applications where high surfactant concentrations or intense product movement would quickly render conventional antifoam emulsions ineffective.

Application Details

In surfactant-rich formulations, such as liquid detergents and textile auxiliaries. SILFOAM® SE 39 is particularly suitable for applications in which high surfactant concentrations or intensive product movement would cause conventional antifoam emulsions to become rapidly ineffective.

Processing

  • SILFOAM® SE 39 is a low-viscosity emulsion, it can be metered readily, with stable dispersions easily attainable in highviscosity formulations. In low-viscosity products, preliminary compatibility and stability tests should be performed on the system to be defoamed.
  • The amount to add to liquid formulations depends on the desired degree of foam control, but usually lies between 0.1 and 2 %.
  • If SILFOAM® SE 39 is to be added during a process, we recommend prediluting it with cold water in a ratio of 1:1 to 1:10. These diluted emulsions have a lower storage stability and should be processed as close in time as possible. If feed pumps are used, they should be of the low shear force type.
