- SILRES® BS 6042 is employed as the main binder in silicone resin emulsion paints and plaster. If formulated properly, the products made with it are characterized by high permeability to water vapor and CO₂, low water absorption, low soiling tendency, a mineral appearance and long life.
- SILRES® BS 6042 enables an excellent early water resistance.
- Facades must be primed before painting for optimal protection.

- SILRES® BS 6042 provides coatings with long-lasting reduced water absorption, efficient early rain resistance and high water vapor permeability.
- SILRES® BS 6042 is recommended for:
- Silicone resin emulsion paints and plasters
- Paints and plasters for ETICS
- Paints and plasters formulated with SILRES® BS 6042 have the appearance of a mineral based coating, show high hiding power and are UV-resistant. SILRES® BS 6042 can be used to formulate eco-label complying coatings.

- Storage Information
The containers must be protected against sunlight. Stir well before taking emulsion from drums. Storage beyond the date specified on the label does not necessarily mean that the product is no longer usable. In this case however, the properties required for the intended use must be checked for quality assurance reasons.
